Pokemon Legends Arceus Profile Picture: Can I change it after starting?

Can anything be done to change a Pokemon Legends Arceus profile picture after the game has started? With the improved 3D graphics engine and customizable trainers, including the ability to unlock multiple pieces of pre-order DLC with awesome new outfits and hairstyles, it’s understandable that players might want to make a Pokemon Legends Arceus trainer picture change — but is it possible to do so?

Can the Pokemon Legends Arceus profile picture be changed?

Sadly, it is not possible to change the trainer profile picture in Pokemon Legends Arceus after starting the game, although there are a number of customization options for the trainer character in the game itself.

Players can choose to alter their hairstyle, outfits, faces, clothing, and headgear throughout the course of the game, and pieces of gear such as special kimonos can be unlocked through pre-order bonuses or by having save data on the Nintendo Switch from other Pokemon games such as Pokemon Sword and Shield. However, unlike in some of those other Pokemon games — such as last year’s MOBA Pokemon Unite — there are no options to customize or even slightly change the profile picture when opening up the trainer menu. Unfortunately, players are stuck with the picture they chose at the beginning character customization screen for the entirety of Pokemon Legends Arceus — so make sure to pick a good profile pic.

It’s certainly not the only surprise waiting for players in Pokemon Legends Arceus. Players were surprised to learn that Shiny Pokemon starters were locked once again and that there aren’t any breeding, held items, or abilities to speak of. Fortunately, there are more positive changes to the traditional Pokemon formula too, including some excellent quality of life improvements to evolution and the ability to retrieve lost satchels belonging to other players to get a reward, which has both been warmly received by the community.
