The latest episode of the Pokemon Journeys: The Series anime was aired today, September 2, in Japan and revealed a new mystery gift code for Pokemon Sword And Shield for Ash’s Gengar. The mystery gift code only lasts for a couple of weeks, so make sure to use it before it expires on September 15, 2022.
What is the Ash’s Gengar mystery gift code?
The code is GENNGER0GE94 and it was given out during episode 123 of the Pokemon Journeys: The Series anime. Players can redeem this code until September 15, 2022, and it will run alongside the existing code distribution for Dragonite that’s running until September 8. The code will give Pokemon Sword and Shield players a Gengar that is based on the Gengar Ash captured in the anime.
The creature does not have any special movesets or abilities, instead using the same abilities as the standard Gengar Pokemon. These include Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Dazzling Gleam, and Will-O-Wisp, as well as the ability to Gigantimax. The creature also has 31 IVs in Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed, as well as 30 IVs in HP, Attack, and Defense.
How to redeem the mystery gift code in Pokemon Sword and Shield
Players will need to redeem the Pokemon Journeys: The Series Ash’s Gengar code within Pokemon Sword and Shield itself. Here are the steps you need to follow to redeem the mystery gift code in the game:
- Launch Pokémon Sword or Shield.
- Select Mystery Gift on the X menu.
- Select Get a Mystery Gift.
- Select Get with Code/Password to connect to the internet.
