Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will let your friends play for free

Fans are certainly looking forward to the upcoming release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, but Square Enix has revealed a truly awesome surprise. The Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition Lite will let your friends play the game with you completely for free.

“Play through the first three dungeons with the free-to-download demo version, FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES Remastered Edition Lite*!” read the description of the New Features trailer that launched today. “This trial version will allow players to enjoy the first three dungeons of the game, take part in online cross-play in those dungeons, or join in with a player who has purchased the full game to play together in up to 13 dungeons – all for free.”

Best of all, you don’t even have to be on the same platform. There is going to be cross-play for this upcoming remaster of a fan-favorite Final Fantasy game, so you’ll be able to hop in with your friends on multiple platforms — including mobile devices. Do keep in mind, however, that console players may require memberships to stuff like PS Plus for online functionality.

You can see this new game in action in the trailer below. The Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition Lite (and the paid version) will both launch on August 27, 2020. You can also swing by the game’s official website.
