Mortal Kombat 11 Spawn gameplay trailer promised for Final Kombat tournament

Despite the recent release of The Joker, Mortal Kombat 11 is not done with its DLC as the first Kombat Pack still has one more kombatant left: Spawn. This highly anticipated fighter is coming to Kombat Pack owners on March 17 (March 24 for everyone else) but we now know when we will get our first look at the legendary comic character. NetherRealm has confirmed that the Mortal Kombat 11 Spawn gameplay trailer will premiere at Final Kombat tournament on March 8, showing how Todd McFarlane’s creation will main, slice, and shoot in NetherRealm’s successful fighting game. (UPDATE: If you want to watch the trailer, check it out here.)

This MK11 Spawn gameplay reveal will also be accompanied with some other guest appearances as well. Keith David, the voice of Spawn, will be at the tournament as well as Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (who voiced Shang Tsung in MK11 and played the role in the 1995 film), franchise co-creator Ed Boon, and Todd McFarlane.

NetherRealm also stated that this trailer will come with “other content reveals,” but it was not clear what that will mean. It could likely be the associated skin pack releasing with Spawn or a tease of the long-rumored next Kombat Pack. Given how each other DLC character trailer has shown a skin pack at the end, it is likely the first option. Players on the subreddit have already been guessing that one of these skins will be of She-Spawn, who debuted last year.

The reveals don’t stop at just MK11 as the tournament is set to debut a red band trailer for Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge. This animated movie was announced last week and got its first trailer a few days ago. However, that trailer didn’t get to show the film’s R rating, which is something the red band trailer will address. Embracing the R rating is also something that this animated movie has in common with the live action Mortal Kombat film coming next year.
