A lot of players have been reporting the Battlefield 2042 “has reached cap” error message when playing and completing various matches within EA’s latest Battlefield game, but what is the cause? Players can find out all about Battlefield 2042’s max level cap right here but it certainly doesn’t seem to be anything to do with this particular problem, especially as it affects trophies too. Is there a Battlefield 2042 “XP has reached cap” fix?
Is there a Battlefield 2042 ‘has reached cap’ error fix?
The “has reached cap” message in Battlefield 2042 currently has no fix as it is an intentional piece of design but if players believe that isn’t working properly they should post a message on the EA Answers forum. There have been reports of trophies and XP progress being denied even in regular matches, which seem to be in error, but the only thing to do is report it and wait for a fix from EA/Ripple Effect.
Initially, custom matches and Battlefield Portal matches were given full XP and trophy rewards, just like normal matches, but reportedly players were abusing this system and creating bot matches with easy AI, 1 health, and no guns in order to quickly level up. Ripple Effect put a stop to this by introducing an XP level cap for custom matches, which also included match trophies/ribbons, so players cannot earn more than a certain amount of XP per custom match. Hopefully, this will only be a temporary thing as it appears to be affecting a lot of legitimate players, too. For now, players will just have to wait, unfortunately.
