The Battlefield 2042 dev team is yet to dive into the specifics of what each season will include, beyond a basic outline of the first. This latest installment’s status as a service game means that players can expect more frequent updates, patches, and hotfixes. Although that sounds positive, many community members aren’t happy with the change. Battlefield 2042 omits a single-player campaign mode in favor of focusing on its multiplayer suite, though many argue that’s not a worthy tradeoff when the online portion isn’t the series’ best.
Hopefully, the all-new BF 2042 maps will feature more impressive destruction. The destructibility and “Levolution” events available at launch are somewhat sparse by comparison to some previous entries.
