Animal Crossing: New Horizons: What to do with Gyroids in ACNH

Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ massive version 2.0 update includes tons of new features. One of the highlights is the addition of all-new Gyroids, which make for cute little companions. But, is there a bigger purpose to collecting them all? What do you do with Gyroids in ACNH? Here’s the lowdown on what to do with Gyroids in Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, and OLED model.

What do you do with Gyroids in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can use Gyroids as fun indoor and outdoor decorations. As with collecting furniture and other cosmetic ACNH items, there’s no wider objective to do with Gyroids in Animal Crossing.

There are at least 10 known ACNH Gyroids, details on which can be found here. After getting a Gyroid in one of several possible ways, simply place it down to see it dance and make noises. Sadly, there’s no special place to put them or any known reward for collecting and displaying every single one. Despite this, players still love Gyroids for their quirky personalities and ability to bring life to any room or outdoor area they occupy.

Users are getting creative with their Animal Crossing Gyroid placements, like u/adysus and their “Dave Grohlroid” post on Reddit. By strategically placing the Gyroid, it appears as though it’s playing the drums. Some players are attempting to make full bands, while perhaps even building an outdoor stage or bandstand for them to play on. That’s just one example of the fun ways in which it’s possible to use Gyroids in Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Switch.
