Forza Horizon 5 is out now on Xbox Series X, Series S, Xbox One, and PC. The brand-new racing game is getting rave reviews, which, naturally, has players on other platforms wanting to get involved. But, is there a Forza Horizon 5 PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, and OLED model release date coming up? Here’s the lowdown on Playground Games’ FH5 launching on additional console platforms in the future.
Is a Forza Horizon 5 PlayStation version coming out? (PS5, PS4)
Forza Horizon 5 is out now following its launch on November 9, 2021. There is no Forza Horizon 5 PlayStation release date for PS5 and PS4, as FH5 is an Xbox and PC exclusive title.
As a first-party exclusive game, it doesn’t seem likely that Microsoft will launch Forza Horizon 5 on Sony’s competing formats. Previous Forza Horizon installments aren’t available on PS5 and/or PS4, so there’s no past precedent for PlayStation ports. That said, Microsoft-owned game development studios do occasionally launch projects on PlayStation; a few recent examples include Deathloop, Psychonauts 2, and Minecraft Dungeons.
Is a Forza Horizon 5 Nintendo Switch version coming out?
Forza Horizon 5 is available on Xbox and PC as of its November 9, 2021 launch date. There isn’t a Forza Horizon 5 Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, and/or OLED model release date at this time.
Microsoft has shown willingness to support the Nintendo Switch platform in the past. Games like Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Hellblade: Senuas Sacrifice, and Minecraft Dungeons are a few examples of first-party games that came to the hybrid handheld. Additionally, the Xbox manufacturer licensed Nintendo the Banjo and Kazooie characters to have them appear in Super Smash Bros: Ultimate. Despite this existing relationship, however, Forza Horizon games don’t usually come to Switch.
In other news, it’s already CoD: Black Ops’ 11th anniversary. The series is still going strong with the recent release of Call of Duty: Vanguard, despite the game having a bonkers OP melee weapon at launch.
