In Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ 2.0 update you can finally have villagers visit your house, but is there a way to invite them over in the new patch? While you can’t directly extend an invitation, there’s an easy way to get them to visit your home. Here’s how to do it.
How to invite villagers to your house in ACNH
To get villagers to visit your house in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you need to make sure you’re in your home to welcome them. Here’s how to get them to visit you:
- Go to your house
- Stay in your front room
- Wait for a villager to appear and visit you
When you’ve followed the above steps, you’ll finally have a villager in your home. Previously, this was only possible on birthdays, so fans will be pleased to finally be able to get visitors to come and check out the progress they’ve made on their humble abode.
When villagers visit your home, they’ll discuss your furniture with you and play games such as ‘High Card, Low Card.’ There are multiple new lines of dialogue here for each villager, adding a personal touch whenever you have a visitor stop by. It’s nothing too extensive, but it’s a charming new addition that’s been long requested by fans.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to invite specific villagers to come and spend time in your house with you. You won’t be able to wander around your island and ask around for potential guests, with you instead having to wait it out in your home for someone to knock on your door.
The new ACNH 2.0 update has brought with it a ton of changes to the game. Along with villagers now being able to visit you while you’re in your home, you can now get your hands on cute Gyroids, along with finding Brewster and his cafe.
