Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX | How to forget moves and learn forgotten moves

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX adheres to the same rules as the mainline Pokemon games when it comes to how many moves can be learned. Regardless of level or evolution status, Pokemon can only learn four moves each, ensuring that you’ll need to carefully consider choices about their loadouts. This doesn’t mean that experimentation is off the cards, though. Our Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX how to forget moves and learn forgotten moves guide will teach you everything you need to know in order to get the most out of your party’s move sets.

As you level up your Pokemon they’ll naturally be able to learn new moves, though you’ll need to make a tough decision on whether or not it’s worth forgetting a current move in order to make room for them each and every time. Regardless of what you might choose, should you come to regret the decision, there’s thankfully a way to remember old moves at any time.

When you aren’t delving eponymous Mystery Dungeons, you’ll find yourself in a hub area called Pokemon Square. In the marketplace section is a stall named Gulpin Link Shop, where you can talk to the merchant by pressing the “A” button and selecting “Move memory” from the list of three options. From here, you’ll be able to remember moves that you swapped out for others or neglected to learn in the first place. You can also forget moves in order to make room for new additions.

If you’re looking to learn entirely new moves, navigate up and left from Gulpin Link Shop to reach a stall hosted by a pair of Kecleon. Talk to the purple Kecleon on the right to access Kecleon Wares,  from which you can buy TMs (Technical Machines) that are used to learn new moves.
