Finding Turtwig in Pokemon Legends Arceus isn’t too hard. This desirable Pokemon isn’t a starter this time around, but that doesn’t make it any less desirable. Fortunately, in Arceus, there’s a location where players can find and catch as many Turtwigs as they desire.
Where is a location to catch Turtwig in Pokemon Legends Arceus?
Fortunately, players don’t have to wait too long to catch Turtwig. After quelling the first Noble Pokemon, Kleavor, players will gain access to the Crimson Mirelands. Players should head northeast from the starting camp until they find the Droning Meadow. In the southern part of this location, trainers can find wild Turtwig. These can be caught at the player’s leisure.
Once players find the right location to capture Turtwig, they’ll need to find out the best way to catch it. It’s one of the more timid Pokemon, so approaching it stealthily is recommended. It should be a low enough level that regular Poke Balls capture it, but players might want to use a Great Ball to be sure.
Turtwig is one of the starters from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, so it makes sense that it’s native to Hisui. In fact, it’s much easier to find in this game set in the past than it is in the games it debuted in. Maybe its habitat got smaller due to urban development? Might be an allegory there.
Once caught, Turtwig acts as it has in past games. It evolves into Grotle at level 18 and Torterra at 32. It will learn moves at the same levels as if it were a starter, and trainers can set any past moves that it’s forgotten by using the Change Moves option in the menu. Turtwig and its evolutions are strong Pokemon, so players will want to consider making it their primary grass type.
