Yoshida on The Last Guardian: “Development Couldn’t Be Better”

Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida has provided an update on the status of Team ICO's long-awaited PlayStation exclusive The Last Guardian.

When asked about how progress on the game is going, Yoshida told Famitsu, via Kotaku"Development couldn't be better." He then followed that statement by quickly adding, "…That might be a bit of an exaggeration (laugh). We continue to work diligently on the game, so please look forward to it."

There's a whole lot of pent up hype for this game among the PlayStation faithful. Does The Last Guardian stand a chance of living up to gamers' lofty expectations if/when it ever comes out? Call me overly optimistic, but I'm still holding out hope.
