There’s been a big Cyberpunk 2077 roadmap 2022 delay revealed by CD Projekt RED, meaning that pretty much every feature planned to improve the troubled RPG has been put back to next year. This includes the Cyberpunk 2077 next-gen update that fans were already pretty upset about this month as well as all further improvements and patches. All free Cyberpunk 2077 DLC now has a vague 2022 release date too, now.
What is the Cyberpunk 2077 roadmap 2022 delay about?
CD Projekt has quietly updated its roadmap for Cyberpunk 2077, which it previously released back in January, to confirm that no further updates to the game will arrive for the rest of this year. Everything planned for Cyberpunk 2077 has all been pushed back to 2022, including the next-gen update for PS5 and Xbox Series X which is now definitively confirmed for next year.
This news was spotted by Tyler McVicker on Twitter (via PCGamesN), who noticed that CD Projekt RED updated Cyberpunk 2077’s development and release roadmap. It was previously known that any paid expansions for CD Projekt’s latest RPG weren’t coming until 2022 at the earliest, but now it’s been confirmed that any free DLC is also off-the-cards for 2021. There won’t be any further patches or improvements either released this year, nor will the New Game Plus mode, so any player expecting to see any major improvement to the troubled RPG will have to wait until 2022 to find out.

It’s certainly been a difficult year for Cyberpunk 2077. After releasing in December to merely okay reviews, it was beset by many bugs and glitches that made it feel unfinished — especially on previous-gen consoles, as it actually got pulled from sale on the PlayStation Store and only reappeared in June with a warning message attached.
