Cyberpunk 2077 new game plus release date

Cyberpunk 2077 new game plus release date

Cyberpunk 2077 has been out for long enough that most early adopters have already beaten it. But that’s not to say the experience is over — surely the game has new game plus, right? Well, not really. A Cyberpunk 2077 new game plus mode is in the works, but it’s not available in the game yet. When can players expect this feature to become available?

What is the Cyberpunk 2077 new game plus release date?

What is the Cyberpunk 2077 new game plus release date?

Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red has not yet revealed when the new game plus will be added. Though we know that a new game plus mode is planned, no release date has been provided yet. With luck, it will be added in update version 1.3.

Frankly, the feature is well overdue. But given the state of Cyberpunk 2077 at launch, it’s not exactly surprising to learn new game plus isn’t high on the list of priorities. The developers still have plenty of other matters to sort out, including its plans to release several free DLC packs.

With that said, we do know that CDPR is working on adding new game plus to Cyberpunk 2077. Our first indication that the feature was planned came even before launch, and recent data mining efforts seem to point to the mode being added as a free DLC. Specifically, the data (via Saint-Pirate on reddit) references “dlc15_ngplus”, one of 17 total filenames for upcoming DLC.

Still, there’s no word on when new game mode will be added. Chances are good it will be introduced in a major update as opposed to a smaller patch. As such, the earliest possible new game plus release date would coincide with the launch of update 1.3. It’s the next in line after update 1.2, but CDPR is still staying quiet about when it’s set to become available.

In other words, we know Cyberpunk 2077 is getting new game plus, we just don’t know the date it will release. With any luck, it will be introduced in update version 1.3. If not, we may well have to wait until other DLCs are announced — or until the current-gen versions of the game finally launch.
