Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are out soon and yet Nintendo has only just revealed the major upgrades and differences over the original DS games. Here are all of the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl differences with the Switch version vs. the DS version.

Visual Overhaul
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have received a massive graphical overhaul to look better than ever.
Grand Underground
Find fossils and treasure, but also create an expanded Secret Base and explore Pokemon Hideaways.
Pokemon Hideaway hosts different Pokemon based on the statue players use to decorate the Secret Base. There are some exclusive Pokemon available here, so players will want to experiment with the Secret Base feature in order to catch ’em all.
Change Outfits
In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, players can now change the look of the main character. This wasn’t possible in previous games.
Capsule Decoration
Players can customize the Poke Balls to change the effects that appear when Pokemon come out of the ball. This includes confetti and fireworks. This was in the original game but the effects look much better in the new versions.
Overworld Pokemon
Encounter Pokemon in the overworld and watch as your lead Pokemon follows you around the map. This is an improvement that players loved with the other games, so it’s no doubt going to please fans in the overhauled Diamond and Pearl remakes.
As release day gets ever close, expect more differences to be revealed.
