The upcoming Pokemon Unite Blissey DLC has been revealed, with the Pokemon being added to the game as a support character. Blissey’s moves and abilities have also been revealed, showing off the character’s moveset and how it can help teams in the MOBA game. Here’s the new character’s moves, abilities, plus their release date and time.
Pokemon Unite: Blissey moveset and abilities
Blissey’s moves were revealed today. While only one has a confirmed name, we can at least get a sense of what they do. Here’s the types of move that were revealed:
- Pound
- Seems to power up Blissey’s basic attack, causing it to deal more damage.
- Egg Throw
- Blissey swallows an egg before using it as a projectile against an enemy.
- Shield
- Blissey briefly shields a teammate, with a ring appearing below both her and the ally.
- Bliss Assistance
- Blissey dashes to an ally’s aid and protects that ally from attacks.

Pokemon Unite: Blissey release date and time
Blissey will be released in an update on August 18, 2021, and should launch around 7 AM UTC/12 AM PT/3 AM ET judging by previous Pokemon Unite character release dates. The character will be available following the update, though as is the case with other Pokemon, you will be required to obtain it using either in-game or purchased currency.
Blissey is a normal-type Pokemon who was introduced in Gen 2, and is known for having the highest HP of any Pokemon. She is the final evolved form of Hapiny, and evolves from Chansey when it has obtained a high enough friendship level. She is the latest support Pokemon to be added to the popular Switch MOBA game, joining the likes of Eldegoss and Wigglytuff.
In other news, the Sonic 2 movie recently revealed the shock casting of Idris Elba as Knuckles. Marvel’s Avengers is also “still on track” to receive Spider-Man as a new DLC character.
