Dead By Daylight Hellraiser

Dead By Daylight teasing Hellraiser as its next crossover

Is there a Dead By Daylight Hellraiser crossover coming? A potential appearance from the leader of Clive Barker’s classic Cenobites has been rumored for a while now, but could players see Dead By Daylight Pinhead in an upcoming update? That’s what developer Behaviour Interactive seems to have been teasing anyway across social media, so it’s entirely possible that the next Dead By Daylight killer will be the famous Pinhead.

Is Dead By Daylight Pinhead and Hellraiser coming?

Dead By Daylight Hellraiser

While not confirmed just yet, it is looking likely that a Hellraiser crossover is coming to Dead By Daylight, along with Pinhead as the new killer. Developer Behaviour Interactive has been throwing small teases across Twitter recently, including the occasional random letters hidden in pictures. Some are incredibly subtle, some are ridiculously unsubtle. Eagle-eyed fans not only spotted the letter ‘E’ in the most recent picture, but also a pin sticking out of target. Furthermore, at the moment all the letters together spell out “RAISE,” with more letters to come.

There have been rumors of Hellraiser coming to Dead By Daylight since all the way back in 2018, with many hints and teases being thrown out since then. There’s also a reboot of the long-running Hellraiser movie series due next year, so it’s a good time for a crossover with the popular horror game — especially with such iconic series such as Resident Evil, Halloween, Silent Hill, Nightmare On Elm Street, and more already represented in the game.

Dead By Daylight has also been in the news today for testing its new skill-based matchmaking system, which is both upsetting and confusing fans. Of course, Dead By Daylight isn’t the only horror-based co-op game around — Aliens: Fireteam Elite is out this month and will get at least a year’s worth of post-launch DLC support, and the Back 4 Blood beta is currently running and has proven a big success.
