Ark: Survival Evolved next free Epic Games Store game

Ark: Survival Evolved is likely the next free Epic Games Store game

The next free Epic Games Store game is very likely to be Ark: Survival Evolved. Today’s reveal of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection as this week’s free game (along with a surprise bonus title) all but confirms an earlier leak that predicted a month’s worth of free game launches on the Epic Store.

Two weeks ago, a submission to the /r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit predicted the next four games to arrive as free titles on the store. GTA 5 was all but confirmed at that time (and subsequently crashed the Epic Games Store), and the quality of the image brought future leaks into question. Since then, however, the leak has proved surprisingly prescient.

Here are the games that were listed in the leak:

  • GTA 5 – May 14, 2020
  • Civilization 6 – May 21, 2020
  • Borderlands: The Handsome Collection – May 28, 2020
  • Ark: Survival Evolved – June 4, 2020

I think it’s safe to say that we have very good chances of getting Ark: Survival Evolved free starting on June 4, 2020. There was, however, one little surprise that was missed by this leaker: another free game has made its debut.

For now, you can get Borderlands: The Handsome Collection free on the Epic Games Store for one week. You also have an entire year (!) to grab the Devolver Digital-published Sludge Life as well. You can look forward to Ark: Survival Evolved likely makes its free game debut next week.
