Mortal Kombat 11 Johnny Cage revealed, full unveiling later today

Mortal Kombat 11 has been quickly revealing its roster since its reveal in December and today, said roster just got a little bigger. Johnny Cage was unveiled to be in the game. While he was only shown in trailer form, a Mortal Kombat 11 Johnny Cage reveal stream will be held on February 27 at 1 PM PT on NetherRealm’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

Although IGN had the reveal trailer for Cage, the stream has been part of how most of the fighters have been shown off in the past few weeks. Kabal got his own stream at the beginning of February and Jade was similarly unveiled a few weeks later. However, Kano and D’Vorah will also be in the game but have not gotten similar treatment yet. The NetherRealm developers on the Kombat Kast streams have hinted that most, if not all, fighters will have their own streams when the time comes.

Johnny Cage is just part of the roster that has been revealed so far and is the fourteenth fighter to be officially recognized by NetherRealm. However, that number begins to waver once you factor in Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Cassie Cage, and Kitana, who have all been shown in some capacity but weirdly have not been revealed as part of the roster.

Johnny Cage was already rumored to be in the game. During one of the game’s behind the scenes trailers, there was a monitor with an unblurred image that looked quite similar to Cage. Whether it was an intentional hint or not, it looks like it came true.

Cage has been in almost every single Mortal Kombat game. He debuted in the original title 27 years ago and was also a big part of Mortal Kombat X. Cage looks to be keeping his style from his past iterations from martial arts to nut punches and shadow kicks. He also seems to be the same wise ass he always was.
