PlayStation Now August 2018 Lineup Adds XCOM 2, Another World and More

The PlayStation Now library is getting bigger and bigger every month. Sony has announced the PlayStation Now August 2018 lineup of new games, which includes PS4 games like XCOM 2, Another World 20th Anniversary, Warhammer 40K Deathwatch, and even a PS2 game, Primal. XCOM 2 was offered as part of the PS Plus Free Games June 2018 lineup, but it’s still a worthy addition to the PS Now library, which now contains over 650 games from three generations of PlayStation consoles.

According to PlayStation Blog, there will be a total of ten new games added in August. These new additions include:

  • Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition
  • BRUT@L
  • Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers
  • Gem Smashers
  • Lost Sea
  • Primal (PS2)
  • This is the Police
  • Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity
  • Warhammer 40K: Deathwatch
  • XCOM 2

Speaking of XCOM 2, it’s one of my favorite games of all time. It’s basically the Dark Souls of tactical turn-based strategies. The XCOM series is notorious for being extremely difficult that players (including me) have often resorted to save scumming to win the game. The War of The Chosen expansion is totally recommended, as it provides more content. Nothing beats the satisfaction of killing alien scum in XCOM 2.

Sony also revealed the most popular games on the PS Now service in July, which include titles like Red Dead Redemption, The Last of Us and surprisingly even Mafia 2. Meanwhile, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator is the only PS3 game to be upgraded to the PS4 version in the PS Now August 2018 lineup.

In case you missed it, there are PlayStation Now deals for the summer. It is currently available at just $9.99 for a full month exclusively for new subscribers. Gamers can also grab a full year’s worth at $99.99, or take advantage of the PlayStation Plus member discount of only $29.99 for three months. These discounts will only be available until September 25, 2018.
