Firefly Edition Restock

The Last of Us Part I Firefly Edition Restock Arriving Soon

Naughty Dog has revealed that The Last of Us Part 1 Firefly Edition restock will be available on September 2, 2022, which is the same day as the release date for the game. This $99 special edition of the upcoming PS5 remake will begin at 12 AM ET in the US, meaning that it will be available on September 1, 2022 at 9 PM PT for those on the West Coast. As before, they will be offered exclusively on PlayStation Direct and only on a “first come, first serve basis.”

How to prepare for the Firefly Edition restock

For double confirmation, PlayStation Direct has already updated the page for the Firefly Edition to include a release date of September 2. We recommend getting to the store and having all your shipping and payment details ready to go at least a half-hour, if not earlier, to claim your copy when orders open.

For those in Europe looking for the bundle, Naughty Dog has expressed in another tweet that it is working with its partners at SIE with an update forthcoming on what can be offered in the region.

The Firefly Edition, as reported by our sister site PlayStationLifestyle, sold out within a day after the remake was announced on June 9 at Summer Games Fest this year. It was expected that a second batch would be made available soon in the hopes that it wouldn’t be scalped too badly before launch. Scheduling the restock on the release date does help mitigate the exorbitant prices on auction sites like eBay, where a current search for the game yields listing ranging from $255 to $1000.

As a reminder, the Firefly Edition comes with the base game and Left Behind DLC, a steelbook case, The Last of Us: American Dreams Comics #1-4 with alternate cover art, and a plethora of in-game unlockables and six weapon skins.

In other news, Starfire is reportedly the next Teen Titans character to appear in Fortnite, and we’re running a giveaway for Dysterra beta codes for PC.
