Entries on Amazon have unearthed the PGA Tour 2K23 release date and more information on the game’s Deluxe Edition. It was available for pre-order on the retailer for a brief window of time, but they have since been replaced with “temporarily out of stock” or “sorry, we couldn’t find that page” notifications. The game is apparently scheduled to release on October 14, 2022 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S|X, and Xbox One platforms, with standard last-gen versions priced at $59.99 and current-gen versions costing $69.99. The Deluxe Edition for current-gen consoles has been set at $99.99 (screenshot posted below) and comes with 3-day early access which is why its release date is October 11, 2022.
PGA Tour 2K23 Tiger Woods cover and new features unveiled
Amazon’s item description for PGA Tour 2K23 (which has been taken down at the time of this writing, but is shown in our screenshot above) reveals that for the first time you’ll be able to play as both male and female pros including Tiger Woods. The game will introduce Topgolf, a popular golf driving-range game for up to 1-4 players in local or online play. Per usual, you’ll be able to play on iconic PGA Tour courses like TPC Sawgrass and East Lake Golf Club, form online societies, and share your golf course creations using the Course Designer.
2K’s contract with Tiger Woods has also come to fruition with the iconic player now featured on the cover in his signature red shirt. This partnership was announced in March last year and was made in time before EA Sports revealed the revival of its PGA Tour franchise, which has been delayed a year to Spring 2023 (thank you, PlayStationLifestyle). Apart from 3-day early access, the Deluxe Edition (in a now deleted product description on Amazon) will come with dual-gen entitlement and various bonuses like the Michael Jordan Bonus Pack (will we be able to play as him?), Deluxe Bonus Pack, and Golden Club Pack.
More details on the upcoming golf game were scheduled to be revealed next week on August 22 according to a tweet on the official PGA 2K23 account, but just like another 2K game New Tales of the Borderlands, Amazon has likely let out a lot more than it should have.
