For a limited time, you can take advantage of an Xbox free game offer that will let you take home a digital copy of a game with a purchase of an Xbox Series S. Typically, console bundles and similar deals are either very limited or very stingy in their choices for a free game. But this time around, the offer has a surprisingly strong selection that includes popular games like Elden Ring, Madden NFL 23, and the Saints Row reboot that hasn’t even been released yet.
List of valid games for Xbox free game deal
This promotion is available through several participating outlets including GameStop, Microsoft Store, and Amazon. It would seem that Microsoft has allowed different retailers to offer different games for free, with the Microsoft Store and Amazon limiting their selection to seven titles each. GameStop has the widest breadth of games to choose from, but you’ll need to search through its catalog to find titles with the “Deal” tag to see if they qualify.
To make things easier, here is a short list of select games that you can choose from, with the outlet(s) offering them as part of this deal. (Note: Not all of the choices from GameStop are listed below, but we’ve pared it down to what we think are some of the best ones.)
- Back 4 Blood (GameStop)
- Call of Duty: Vanguard (GameStop)
- Elden Ring (Amazon, GameStop)
- Far Cry 6 (Microsoft Store)
- F1 22 (Microsoft Store)
- Forza Horizon 5 (Amazon)
- Halo Infinite (Amazon)
- LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Deluxe Edition (Amazon)
- LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Standard Edition (Amazon, Microsoft Store)
- Madden NFL 23 (Amazon, GameStop, Microsoft Store)
- MLB The Show 22 (GameStop)
- NBA 2K22 (GameStop)
- NHL 22 (GameStop)
- Red Dead Redemption 2 (Microsoft Store)
- Saints Row (Amazon)
- Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (Microsoft Store)
- The Quarry (GameStop)
- Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands (GameStop)
- WWE 2K22 (GameStop, Microsoft Store)
It’s unclear how long this promotion will run, but it will only continue until supplies last. Madden NFL 23 releases today, while Saints Row is out on August 23, so those would be the most timely choices.
In other news, Ocean’s 11 prequel cast has added Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, and the Star Wars KOTOR remake will “absolutely” not be releasing this year.
