Assassin's creed odyssey season pass

Assassin’s Creed Might Have Multiple Historical Periods or Countries in One Game Next Generation

We’re only three months away from the release of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and less than a year from the release of Assassin’s Creed Origins in October 2017. The upcoming game employs a new exciting Greek setting and gameplay features like romance and dialogue choices, which are new to the franchise. The Assassin’s Creed games are a far cry from what they were a decade ago and they’ll keep changing with the times. New technology will bring more innovations.

In an interview on Ubisoft Blog, Ubisoft Canada Executive Creative Vice President Lionel Raynaud spoke on how advancing and emerging technology will help in the progress of the Assassin’s Creed franchise in the future:

“We all see a future where a game will stay {post-launch], and new experiences will come in the games. But we will have technology that will break the [current] limits of memory, for instance, because of new technologies that are arriving. We would be able to – in the same world – have several historical periods, for instance, in Assassin’s Creed, and use the Animus to travel from one to the other. Or have different areas of the world linked by travel systems, so that a Far Cry game or a Watch Dogs game could happen in different countries in the same experience, seamlessly.”

There you have it, folks. It would be awesome to be able to play through an Assassin’s Creed game that not only employs multiple historical eras but also multiple countries to explore. The possibilities would be endless. If that happens, players could go from Greece during the Peloponnesian War in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey to Egypt’s Ptolemaic Kingdom in Assassin’s Creed Origins by simply entering the Animus in-game and switching timelines.

Raynaud is obviously talking about future technology here, so it’ll be mindblowing if the next generation of gaming consoles will be able to achieve what he’s describing. Xbox is already teasing its next console, which is revealed to be in development recently during E3 2018. It will be exciting to see what the future of gaming holds when it finally arrives.
