Donald Trump Says the US Sold a Fictional Call of Duty Jet to Norway

Donald Trump has claimed that the US has sold “F-52” fighter jets to Norway, despite these planes only existing in the Call of Duty video game series.

Trump made the statement during a press conference on Wednesday, in which he hosted the Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg at the White House.

While addressing the relationship between the US and Norway, Trump said: “In November we started delivering the first F-52s and F-35 fighter jets.” However, the F-52 jets don’t exist, with them only appearing in the game Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Though the White House hasn’t clarified Trump’s erroneous information, it appears that the President may have misread a written statement that was given to him. After discussing the “F-52s,’ he went on to say: “We have a total of 52 and they’ve delivered a number of them already a little ahead of schedule.”

The F-52 is used by the 2014 game’s US army, with players utilizing them in order to create an opening for US forces to begin an invasion of New Baghdad.
