Nintendo 64 and DS Games Join Wii U Virtual Console

During today's Nintendo Direct broadcast, the company announced that Nintendo 64 and DS games are finally coming to the Wii U Virtual Console. 

Starting today, gamers can fire up the Big N's online store and grab a copy of Super Mario 64. N64 games will be priced anywhere between $9.99 and $12.99, with an upgrade fee of $2 for those who already own the Wii VC version. Meanwhile, Nintendo DS games will run you anywhere from $6.99 to $9.99. 

Here's the current release schedule for upcoming N64 and DS games:

April 1

  • Super Mario 64 (N64)
  • Yoshi’s Island DS (DS)

April 9

  • Yoshi’s Touch & Go (DS)
  • WarioWare Touched (DS)

April 16

  • Donkey Kong 64 (N64)

April 23

  • Mario Kart DS (DS)

April 30

  • Paper Mario (N64)
