Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers have gotten another Nintendo 64 game today after Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards became the latest title to be added to the library. Kirby 64 has become the 15th N64 game to be included in the Expansion Pack and joins 25 SEGA Genesis games and DLC for Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards is available now
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards was added to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack today, May 20. After Dark Matter invades a planet inhabited by fairies, one of its residents, Ribbon, tries to flee with a sacred crystal. She is thwarted when the Dark Matter shatters the crystal and spreads its shards far and wide. Landing on a planet called Pop Star, she meets Kirby who agrees to retrieve the shards and defeat the new enemy. However, things are complicated when Kirby’s friends are possessed by the Dark Matter.
The game joins the Nintendo 64 Collection alongside titles like F-Zero X, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Lylat Wars, Banjo-Kazooie, and Mario Golf. We do know Pokemon Snap will also be added to the Expansion Pack library at some point but we don’t know exactly when that will be. Those wanting to play earlier Kirby titles can also make use of Kirby’s Dream Land 3, Kirby’s Dream Course, and Kirby Super Star in the SNES library, as well as Kirby’s Adventure in the NES library. Both the NES and SNES libraries are available for all Nintendo Switch Online players regardless of whether they subscribe to the Expansion Pack or not.
In other news, the Epic Mega Sale has started over on the Epic Games Store, featuring over 1600 games and DLC at discounts of up to 95%. Elsewhere, Marvel announced a new card battler for mobile and PC called Marvel Snap.
