Veteran users of Clash of Clans may remember the Global Chat option that was removed in 2019. This was an area where the player base could post comments for everyone else to read. It’s how many players found friends to play with. Because of the fond memories that many players have, some have been wondering if Global Chat will be reimplemented in 2022. Here is what we know about Clash of Clans Global Messages returning in 2022.
Is Clash of Clans Global Chat coming back in 2022?
Developer Supercell has not announced any plans to bring back Clash of Clans Global Chat in 2022.
Global Chat was removed in 2019 due to the devs wanting to “shield players from offensive or inappropriate communications that have no place in Clash of Clans.” Clearly, some awful things were happening and Global Chat was making it easier for people to carry out nefarious activities. As usual, a few bad apples ruin things for everyone else.
The developers also felt that Global Chat was being made obsolete by improvements to clan recruitment functionality, which should have made it “easier than ever for Clans to find new members and for players to find Clans that best suit their play style.” With that said, some players still wish Global Chat would return to make finding clanmates easier.
Given the above reasons, it’s highly unlikely that Supercell will bring back Global Chat anytime soon. There’s just no clear advantage for them to do so, and it would once again potentially put the community at risk from those seeking to cause damage.
