Fortnite Update June 23 2022

Fortnite Update Makes Stability Fixes on PC Following Tuesday’s Patch

Fortnite players on PC may be wondering why they had a small update today, June 23, 2022, just two days after the release of V21.10. The patch notes aren’t terribly exciting, citing stability fixes as its main draw, which means there’s no new content or, more importantly, no content being removed from the game.

Fortnite Update: June 23 patch notes

The Fortnite PC update for June 23 was simply a maintenance patch that was meant to counter stability issues within the game. There has been no content added to any of the three modes in the game, nor has there been any content removed. There appear to have been no notable bug fixes or gameplay improvements either.

The issues come just two days after the introduction of V21.10 which brought in new content for Battle Royale, Save The World, and Creative modes. Battle Royale players got Darth Vader’s Lightsaber, the Stormtroopers’ E-11 Blasters, bonus Styles for Chapter 3 Season 3 Outfits, profile social tags, and a Looking for Party feature alongside a handful of bug fixes.

Meanwhile, the Blasted Badlands Venture season returned in Save The World, only this time it came with a Rage Meter modifier. The Hit The Road Questline also added more escort missions for more rewards, while Dennis reappeared and the Skate Park Royalty Pack became available. Finally, Creative players can now spawn rideable animals from the Wildlife Spawner and hired guards from the Guard Spawner. Weapons can now be placed naturally on furniture and walls, and there are more bug fixes here too.

In other news, all existing Overwatch currencies will be rolled into Overwatch 2 upon the game’s launch in October, while loot boxes will be automatically opened before that date. Elsewhere, more Ultra Beasts will be coming to Pokemon Go Fest events in three locations through next month and August before being released worldwide.
