Spider-Man: No Way Home Venom

Is Venom in Spider-Man: No Way Home?

Is there a Spider-Man: No Way Home Venom cameo appearance or Easter egg? In October’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage movie there was a tease along with various rumors suggesting that Eddie Brock/Venom (Tom Hardy) would be making some sort of appearance in No Way Home, finally coming face to face with Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland) for the first time since 2007’s Spider-Man 3. Is Venom in Spider-Man: No Way Home after all?

Spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home follow!

Is there a Spider-Man: No Way Home Venom cameo?

Spider-Man: No Way Home Venom

Yes, Venom/Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) appears in Spider-Man: No Way Home’s mid-credits scene as a direct continuation of the post-credits scene in Venom: Let There Be Carnage — where Eddie Brock is staying in a Hawaiian hotel, experiences a weird event, and then sees Peter Parker (Tom Holland) unmasked as Spider-Man on TV.

Venom is teased earlier in the movie when the multiple Peter Parkers are discussing their strangest villains and Tobey Maguire mentions an “alien symbiote,” referring to Venom’s appearance in Spider-Man 3. It then seems that there isn’t going to be any sort of cameo appearance by Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock until he turns up as the focus of the post-credits scene. It turns out that the movie Venom isn’t actually in the regular MCU and was only brought over during Doctor Strange’s botched magic spell. Eddie and Venom are returned to their own universe before they can visit New York — but a tiny piece of the Venom symbiote is left behind. This strongly suggests that a new version of Venom will be the villain of the next Spider-Man movie.

For more on Spider-Man, here’s everything about the possibility of a live-action Miles Morales leading the next Spider-Man trilogy, and here’s how the new Morbius trailer hints that the movie will continue Spider-Man: No Way Home’s story.
