Call of Duty: Warzone is getting a big overhaul in December 2021, though some players will experience this change earlier than others. It’s possible to secure CoD: Warzone Pacific Caldera map early access on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Series S, Xbox One, and PC. Here’s the need-to-know info on playing the new Warzone WW2 map before its official public launch.
Warzone Pacific: How to play the new Caldera battle royale map early
Call of Duty players that own CoD: Vanguard get to play the new Warzone Pacific Caldera map a day early on December 2, 2021.
Securing Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Caldera map early access is as simple as buying the series’ latest mainline entry, CoD: Vanguard. Activision gave confirmation that Vanguard owners will get to play the tie-in Warzone battle royale map during an exclusive 24-hour early access period. Simply by owning Vanguard on any platform, players will be able to experience the Warzone WW2 Caldera map a day before anybody else.
Anyone that opts not to purchase Vanguard will continue to play the Rebirth Island map during Caldera’s early access period. The following day is the global Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Caldera map release date (December 3, 2021), enabling all players to begin enjoying the all-new World War 2 setting.

Additionally, check out the DLC roadmap that includes some crossover content coming to Warzone. Of course, part of that cross-game support includes the Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Caldera map early access period for CoD: Vanguard owners.
Speaking of FPS DLC, the Far Cry 6 Danny Trejo add-on randomly came out a month early. The action star — who also features in the Call of the Dead map for Black Ops’ Nazi Zombies mode — arrived in the new Ubisoft title without any fanfare.
