Far Cry 6 Danny Trejo DLC

Far Cry 6 just got Danny Trejo DLC a month early without fanfare

The Far Cry 6 Danny Trejo DLC was heavily advertised by Ubisoft earlier this year as the FPS’s first big crossover mission and was due out in December, but either by choice or by mistake the mission “Danny & Dani Vs. Everybody” is now available to play a month early for everyone. The Far Cry 6 Danny Trejo crossover mission was actually supposed to release after the Vaas DLC expansion but apparently, Ubisoft has quietly released it first.

Is the Far Cry 6 Danny Trejo DLC available now?

Danny Trejo is now in Far Cry 6 and can be found at the Rey Del Diente Crocodile Farm in Barrial, on the very Eastern side of the Yara map. As long as Far Cry 6 is connected online to Ubisoft Connect then the player should quickly get a call from Juan asking Dani to go meet his friend Danny Trejo and help them with a special mission. No spoilers, but it may not go quite as anyone might expect.

However, it does seem likely that Danny Trejo’s inclusion a month before his mission was supposed to go live is actually a mistake as some players suspect, rather than just an early surprise. The Ubisoft and Far Cry social media channels are completely silent about the crossover being added, which should be rather a big deal — and most importantly, the mission appears to end rather abruptly with no way to save the new vehicle that appears. It remains to be seen whether Ubisoft will pull the mission or update it properly, or whether the upcoming Rambo and Stranger Things crossovers will get randomly added early too.

It’s certainly not the only problem Far Cry 6 has had — such as the recent update causing black screens or crashing and the HD Texture Pack not installing properly on Xbox. While fun, our reviewer had some big problems with Far Cry 6, saying that it “fails to evolve the series.” Check out the review right here.
