The Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1.1.4a update patch notes are now available to read. Though it’s only a small Nintendo Switch update, the new patch does make some significant changes that should make the Bunny Day event more tolerable. There is still ongoing server maintenance, so the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons patch may take some time to be downloaded to your Nintendo Switch. Once downloaded and installed, you’ll be able to use online functions like visiting the islands of friends, or having people visit your island. You’ll also be able to send letters and all other features that require an online connection.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1.1.4a Update Patch Notes
At the time of writing, the Japanese Nintendo site is the only place to read the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1.1.4a patch notes. Thankfully, Twitter user @OatmealDome has provided an English translation (which we cross-referenced with Google Translate). (We’ll update with the English version as soon as it becomes available.)
ALSO: Animal Crossing balloons are disappearing and ruining Bunny Day
Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1.1.4a
- Fixes Flick not giving you the right model for the “Platinum Kogane.” (“Kogane” is the Japanese name of a bug. It’s not yet clear what the English name is.)
- Adjusts rate of drops for some eggs until Apr 11.
- Eggs become easier to collect on Easter (Apr 12).
While not specifically saying whether egg drops will be increased or decreased until April 11, I think we can assume that eggs won’t be dropping as much, as they have been causing frustration for many players who are hunting for fish, fossils, and other resources. Then, on April 12, players will be able to hit the Easter egg grind hard, as the eggs will become easier to collect.
