Week 1 will also launch the beginning of the first set of Community Challenges, which will run from September 10 – 23. This means that this set of challenges will last until the end of Week 3. Dubbed the “Clear the Skies” challenge, players will need to take down 100,000 Scorchbeasts with the community. If the challenge is completed, Meat Week will return from September 26 – 29, if not, then no meat for you. There are also three “Stretch Goals” for those who want to go above and beyond. In order, they are a Scorchbeast Player Icon, a Curly Bun Hairstyle, and a full week of Meat Week. You’ll have to wait to find out the new challenge parameters to unlock each Stretch Goal Reward, as Bethesda hasn’t announced them yet.
Week 2
The second week of Project Clean Appalachia is fairly similar to the first. The only difference will be what’s for sale in the Atomic Shop. For Week 2, the Atomic Shop free item will be Mid-Century Disc Lamps. As far as the Community Challenge goes, players will still be working on the “Clear the Skies” challenge.
Week 3
If the Community Challenge is complete, players will see the return of Meat Week during Week 3. However, if it isn’t unlocked, it will likely be a very boring week. There will also be a new free item available in the Atomic Shop, the Photomode Frame for the Grafton & Grafton High Bed.
Week 4
During Week 4 of the Fallout 76 Project Clean Appalachia event, things will start to pick back up again. There will be a special weekend event known as the Legendary Vendor Murmgh’s Mystery Pick running from October 3 to October 7. During this special event, players will be able to get a random 3-Star Legendary item at the Purveyor for a highly reduced Price. There will also be a new free item in the Atomic Shop, the Mr. Handy Player Icon.
The next set of Community Challenges will also be unlocking during Week 4, and will run from October 1 to October 14, meaning you’ll have until the end of Week 5 to complete them. Dubbed the “Take Oit the Trash” Community Challenge, players will need to take down 8,000,000 Scorched with the community. If you can complete this task, you’ll earn a Legendary Vendor Sale from October 17 to October 21 that offers 25% off all items. Further, if you want to go for the Stretch Goal Rewards, players can unlock the Honeybeast Player Icon, the Vault-Tec Flamer Skin, and a 50% discount during the Legendary Vendor Sale.
Week 5
During Week 5, players will continue to work on the “Take Out the Trash” Community Challenge. There will also be another free item in the Atomic Shop, the Face Paint Bundle. While there isn’t much to do this week, players will likely be hard at work taking down 8,000,000 Scorched.
Week 6
The final week of the Fallout 76 Project Clean Appalachia event only be exciting if players are able to complete the “Take Out the Trash” Community Challenge. If successful, players will be able to cash in their discount at the Vendor Sale. If not, they’ll have to settle for the final free Atomic Shop item, a Modern Art Statue.
As Week 6 comes to a close, this will put a nice bow on the Fallout 76 Project Clean Appalachia event and everything should be nice and tidy for the arrival of the Wastelanders when November rolls around. While Bethesda hasn’t said too much about the upcoming DLC yet, you can be sure there will be some news about it in the next few weeks.
