The Fortnite Refer a Friend 2022 promotion will be returning once more according to multiple leakers, who have also revealed challenges and themed rewards involving Xander skins and cosmetics. The release date for the Refer a Friend re-run is still unknown, but it should be soon. And since the promotion was last active from October 25, 2021 to January 10, 2022 (extended to March 15, 2022), we know pretty much how it will work this time around.
How to register for Fortnite Refer a Friend 2022
If you haven’t gone through the Refer a Friend program before, here are the steps you’ll likely need to take:
- Register for the promotion when the website goes live with your Epic account. (The site is not live yet at the time of this writing.)
- Invite some eligible friends (should be up to five), specifically those who haven’t played Fortnite before or only for a low number of hours. In the last version of the program, this specifically meant players who have played less than two hours of Battle Royale in the last month. Referred friends don’t need to register on the website, but if they do, they can track their progress.
- Complete in-game tasks together and complete challenges to earn special rewards
What are the Fortnite Refer a Friend 2022 challenges and rewards?
According to leaker iFireMonkey, here are the upcoming challenges for this new iteration of Refer a Friend (both BR and Zero Build are supported):
- Play 1 Game with your Referred Friend
- Place Top 10 3 time with your Referred Friend
- Eliminate 10 Opponents with your Referred Friend
- Have both accounts gain at least 60 account levels since having started the program
As for rewards (leaked by @Penguin54614731), you’ll earn various cosmetics related to Xander, featuring a new skin, a spray, weapon wrap, emote, harvesting tool, and back bling. Rewards should be available for both the referee and any referred friends.
Do note that this is leaked information, so Epic Games could change the official rewards and challenges when the Refer a Friend promotion officially releases. It’s unclear how long this program will last, but if we consider the length of the prior version of the promotion (including the extension), it should last for around five months.
