Anthem Cataclysm event delayed

Anthem‘s post-launch content roadmap has been updated with delays of additional features like the Cataclysm event, Mastery System, Guilds, Weekly Stronghold Challenge, Leaderboards, and more.

Fortnite and PUBG banned in Iraq

Both Fortnite and PUBG have been banned in Iraq due to the game’s “negative effects caused by some electronic games on the health, culture, and security of Iraqi society, including societal and moral threats to children and youth.”

Interest in Apex Legends is fading according to analysts

Analysts at Seeking Alpha claim that Apex Legends is “wildly overvalued.” Compared to Fortnite, which got more and more popular over time, Apex Legends’ popularity has fallen considerably.

Dead crab thrown at Super Smash Bros. tournament winner

Team Liquid’s Juan “Hungrybox” Debiedma had a crab thrown at him at the Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament of the Pound 2019 event in Maryland. The spectator who threw the crab was found and ejected from the venue.

Fortnite developers may have harsh working conditions, per report

A report from Polygon stated that Epic Games employees working on Fortnite were experiencing harsh working conditions, with “executives” pushing developers to continually work on the game for as long as possible. One ex-dev claimed that they were working “at least 12-hour days, seven days a week, for at least four or five months.”

Over 1,200 Fortnite World Cup players caught cheating

During the first week of the Fortnite World Cup, Epic Games caught 1,211 cheaters. Of these cheaters, 206 had managed to win monetary prizes.
