The Fortnite 3.08 update patch notes have been shared by developer Epic Games. The new Fortnite patch for today, March 4, is now rolling out across PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Unlike other updates that include new content for players to enjoy, this patch is solely intended to fix stability issues within the game code.

Version 3.08

  • Improves game stability on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

The great news is that the Fortnite 3.08 update does not require any downtime. The update will simply be downloaded at the end of the current match, or when the user next launches the game. With no server downtime for maintenance, this means players can keep on enjoying the game.

This might not be the most exciting patch, as it doesn’t contain any new limited-time modes, weapons, or skins, but players should appreciate that Epic Games is working to keep the game running, especially in the current climate where many are working from home.

Of course, it’s okay to be disappointed when a new Fortnite update pops up onscreen. For those who were wanting more, it shouldn’t be long before a content update is deployed. This usually happens between Tuesday and Thursday of each week. Stay tuned!

While this update doesn’t contain much in the way of exciting changes, the previous Fortnite patch did make some meta-shifting alterations. This included removing the hand cannon from the game.

For those who haven’t heard the latest rumors surrounding a Nintendo Switch Pro, here’s a round-up that details the reported OLED screen and 4K support. It’s also apparently aiming for a 2021 release!

On the other side of the battle royale space is Apex Legends, which has had its upcoming sniper rifle power-up and bow upgrade leaked.
