Big Red Button and Sega will launch the latest duo of Sonic the Hedgehog games featuring new character designs revealed earlier this year to the chagrin of some diehard fans, though November 11th will probably drive those same fans out to stores for both Wii U and 3DS games dubbed Sonic Boom.
Wii U owners can play Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric which features HD graphics, given that it'll be on console, while Sonic Boom Shattered Crystal will arrive on Nintendo 3DS where it'll also throw players into the screen with speed, using the system's glasses-free 3D.
While some players might claim that they've grown out of Sonic, that won't stop new consumers or even younger gamers from flocking to these titles thanks to the heavy tie-ins to Sonic's new cartoon show which starts on Cartoon Network later this Fall.
Sega says that all of this is part of the company's Sonic Boom Initiative, so keep an ear out for more as we get closer to launch.
