Watch Dogs Will Be the Last Mature Wii U Game From Ubisoft

Nintendo fans shouldn't expect to see any additional mature games from Ubisoft come to Wii U after Watch Dogs finally hits the console, as Ubi exec Yves Guillemot has confirmed that the company has no plans to cater to a virtually nonexistent audience.

"[Watch Dogs] is coming to Wii U… It will be the only mature game we publish on it," Guillemot said in an interview with GameInformer. "What we see is that Nintendo customers don't buy Assassin's Creed. Last year, we sold in very small numbers."

On the other hand, however, there is very much a market for more casual, family-friendly games like Just Dance on Nintendo's platform. As such, we can expect to see continued support in that area. "They are very interested in Just Dance, very interested by other kinds of games. So what we are trying to do is to focus more on the types of games they are interested in."

In all honesty, I'm surprised Watch Dogs is still even coming to Wii U. It'll likely be too little too late, but I guess it's better than Wii U owners not getting the game at all.
