Last Week Wii U Sales More Than Double PS4 in Japan

While Wii U's global sales may not instill all that much faith in Nintendo gamers, the company's console is doing a whole heck of a lot better than PlayStation 4 in Japan.

According to last week's hardware sales for the the territory (courtesy of Media Create), Wii U sold more than double that of Sony's next-gen box. A mere 5,470 PS4s were sold while Nintendo moved a far more impressive 13,598 units.

Here's the full rundown of Japan's hardware sales last week:

  • 3DS LL: 33,172
  • Vita: 17,084
  • Wii U: 13,598
  • 3DS: 7,873
  • PS3: 6,486
