Swedish retailer Webhallen has opened an auction for the custom PlayStation 4 hardware you see above, featuring a matte rainbow and an 8bit heart with the winning bid going towards the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Rights.
This "GayStation Edition" console started at the suggest retail price of US $400 and will currently cost you about US $2500, albeit in whatever currency you may or may not have in your piggy bank. Webhallen specifically references games as "a refuge" for many young people who fear real life and the taunting they receive for their sexuality or appearance.
"We are gamers in heart and mind, and are keen that as many as possible have the opportunity to feel welcome and enjoy the world's largest and fastest growing interest: video games." For more details, check out the listing by clicking here.
