PvZ: Garden Warfare Coming to PlayStation [Update: Releasing in August]

[Update] PopCap has announced that Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will be coming to PlayStation 3 and PS4 on August 19th.

The release will include both the "Garden Variety" and "Zomboss Down" add-on content. On top of that, the PlayStation 4 version will run at a silky smooth 60 frames-per-second in crystal clear 1080p. PlayStation Vita Remote Play and split-screen co-op will be supported as well.

[Original] It looks like Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will be making its way to PlayStation platforms; that is, if a tease from Electronic Arts is any indication.

The publisher posted the following image on Twitter, accompanied by the words: "It's time for an announcement …" hinting that the title's current Xbox exclusivity is finally coming to an end. You'll notice that the pic pays homage to the Sony-exclusive franchise Sly Cooper.

In another post, EA released the following image, yet again teasing Garden Warfare for PlayStation, this time with an image inspired by Fat Princess.

Stay tuned for an official announcement, which is sure to come shortly.
