GTA V Logs Include Fixes For PC Version, DirectX 11 Support Details

A lengthy document detailing bug fixes throughout Grand Theft Auto V's development, with specific markers and annotations calling out dates where the game would be shown to press leading up to launch, also has numerous details about Rockstar's impending PC release.

While fans have been clamoring for GTA V on PC for some time now, the 150-page bug log offers the most concrete evidence for an impending port. PC only issues like audio and crash details, DirectX 11 smog and bloom lighting, and animation bugs get detailed in the document.

32 and 64-bit versions are discussed and a developer-only switch for enabling "last-gen" mode might also suggest that a next-gen console release is on its way, in addition to the so-obvious-it's-practically-confirmed PC release.

We'll wait patiently for what'll surely be the best version of Rockstar's open-world opus, but until then be sure to ready yourself for a rocky start. While Grand Theft Auto V launched successfully as a single-player only package on console, the release of GTA Online had its own share of issues.

GTA Online's ongoing bugs and exploits could further delay the PC version's release and at the very least we can expect a similar staggered launch of single-player and multiplayer once Rockstar feels they've squashed enough bugs for PC owners.

Even with months of work put into testing GTA V on PC, launch could still mean issues for eager players as the game presents a Chilliad-sized technical challenge for all involved. One thing's for sure, patience is a virtue.

Current rumors say GTA V for PC will be available March 12th.
