As part of this week’s GTA Online bonuses, the Lester Contact Missions are giving out bonus RP and GTA$, but they’re bugged for some people. The cause of the bug is an interaction triggered when players launch Lester’s first heist from a high-end apartment. At the moment there’s no fix coming from Rockstar but there are some workarounds to unlock them again regardless of your progress. Here’s a quick guide on the steps to take to unlock the GTA Online Lester Contact Missions.
How to unlock the GTA Online Lester Contact Missions
Lester’s Contact Missions don’t unlock until players reach level 14, so if you’re below that level you’ll need to cause more chaos in Los Santos and earn enough RP to unlock them. Players at level 14 or above then have to complete the “Fleeca Job – Scope Out” Heist setup where players observe security at the Fleeca Bank before collecting Paige and some equipment from the factory. Players would then normally be able to start a Contact Mission from Lester simply by calling him. However, if the game is bugged for players who have already completed these prerequisites, these missions are still locked with a padlock while Lester will tell you he will call when he has a mission.
The Contact Missions can be unlocked for these players by calling Lester and asking to replay the Fleeca Job Heist. After a little while, Lester will call you back and the Fleeca Job Heist will be available from your apartment. Players then need to cancel the Fleeca Heist, although this will mean you’ll lose the setup fee. Wait a bit longer before calling Lester again and his Contact Missions should now be available.
Rockstar is yet to announce the full GTA V weekly update and this week’s GTA Online bonuses, but Alt/Char claim Lester’s Contact Missions are offering double GTA$ and RP between today, June 30, and July 7. Players can also get triple GTA$ and RP from the Business Battles and Running Back game mode, while the Independence Day land races are offering triple GTA$. As well as the usual GTA store discounts, there is a Sovereign cruiser motorcycle and Patriot parachute available for free.
In other gaming news, Skull and Bones is expected to be released in November but doesn’t sound ready to meet that date. Elsewhere, the Fall Guys Crown Clash challenges unlock rewards in Fortnite and Rocket League.
