Star Wars Andor Episode 4: Viewers Spot Starkiller Armor Easter Egg

Star Wars series Andor has impressed audiences with its stellar world-building and character development, but it was a particular scene in episode 4 that had eagle-eyed fans left open-mouthed, as they spotted a slightly modified version of the Starkiller armor in Luthen Rael’s apartment in Coruscant.

Why the Starkiller armor in Andor episode 4 had fans excited

Starkiller, also known as Galen Marek, is a Force-sensitive human who was taken on as a secret apprentice and personal assassin by the Sith Lord Darth Vader. To date, the character has only appeared in video games and comic books, so to see the character subtly introduced to Star Wars canon was a big moment that was met with excitement across social media almost as soon as Andor episode 4 dropped on Disney Plus.

One Twitter user poked fun at how moments like this can be “shoved down our throats”, saying this is “how you do an Easter Egg right,” while others pondered about the future of the Star Wars universe, and whether or not Starkiller could be showcased in person at some point down the line, perhaps even with his own limited series.

The scene comes a week after the debut of the first three episodes in the series, where some viewers noted that the ship used by Luthen Rael was a similar model, if not the same as the one used by Starkiller in The Force Unleashed. Though Luthen’s cockpit is placed further toward the front of the ship than Starkiller’s, they are very alike. Whether this is a coincidence remains to be seen, but fans are certainly hoping for more Starkiller content in the near future.

Andor continues Wednesdays on Disney Plus. Episode 5 will see the titular future rebel hero embark on a dangerous mission with a team he has only just been introduced to, on the planet Aldhani. It will serve as his entry point to the growing rebellion movement, marking just the first taste of success he has in sticking it to the Empire.

In other news, the House of the Dragon episode 6 window scene left viewers “horrified”, while some funny FIFA 23 glitches showcase player, frame rate, UI, and physics bugs.
