Multiversus Early Access Release Date

Multiversus Early Access Release Date on PS5, PS4, Xbox, and PC is Next Week

Warner Bros has announced Multiversus will be getting an open beta on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC towards the end of the month, but before then there will be an early access period with a release date of next week. All players will be able to get early access but will need to make use of Twitch Drops to get in.

Multiversus Early Access starts next week

The Multiversus Early Access period starts at 9 am PDT on July 19. Those who took part in the game’s closed alpha will automatically gain access to early access period. Those who couldn’t be a part of the closed alpha will be able to get an access code through Twitch Drops. Several streamers will be playing Multiversus with Twitch Drops enabled starting as soon as the early access period begins. Those aged 13 or above can link their WB Games account to their Twitch account before watching any of those streams for a period of 60 minutes. After claiming their reward on Twitch, the code can be redeemed on the WB Games website for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, or PC. Multiversus will not be released on Nintendo Switch.

Early Access runs until the Multiversus Open Beta release date, which is 9 am PDT on July 26. At this point, all players can take part in the beta without needing to sign up. The beta is set to go on for an extended period of time and does not have an end date, but it will be updated with new characters, maps, and seasonal content in the months ahead. There will be full cross-play and cross-progression support, so if players want to change their platforms at this point then they can do so. All progress from the Early Access and Open Beta periods will carry over into the full game, as will any of the optional in-game purchases players buy. The Early Access will launch with the following content:

  • Characters: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Harley Quinn (DC); Shaggy and Velma (Scooby-Doo); Bugs Bunny and Tasmanian Devil a.k.a. Taz (Looney Tunes); Arya Stark (Game of Thrones); Jake the Dog and Finn the Human (Adventure Time); Steven Universe and Garnet (Steven Universe); Tom & Jerry (Tom and Jerry); The Iron Giant (The Iron Giant), and an extraordinary original creature named Reindog. Please note, Harley Quinn, Shaggy, Jake the Dog, and Taz will be immediately available to play when the Open Beta begins. All other characters can be unlocked through gameplay.
  • Maps: The Batcave (DC), Tree Fort & Tree Fort 1 vs. 1 (Adventure Time), Scooby’s Haunted Mansion (Scooby-Doo), Trophy’s E.D.G.E., Trophy’s E.D.G.E. 2, Classic 3 Platform, and Training Room.
