The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase is being held on June 12 and so far Microsoft has managed to lock down its show to avoid any leaks. At least that was until this morning. Forza Horizon 5 Expansion 1 has leaked ahead of its announcement at the show and it looks like the game will be heading into the world of Hot Wheels.
The first Forza Horizon 5 DLC Expansion may be Hot Wheels
No details on the Forza Horizon 5 Expansion 1 Hot Wheels DLC pack were revealed although its existence was leaked in a now-removed banner for the Forza Horizon 5 Premium Add-Ons Bundle on Steam, as noticed by Reddit. The collaboration doesn’t come as too much of a surprise seeing as Forza Horizon 3 had a Hot Wheels expansion that took players to a separate part of the game built specifically for the customary loops, corkscrews, boost pads, high bank turns, half-pipes, and insane jumps associated with the franchise. It also ten Hot Wheels vehicles and players can probably expect something similar for the Forza Horizon 5 DLC expansion.
Testing for the DLC apparently began in February through the Xbox Insider Hub, although Microsoft managed to prevent any more details from leaking out at the time. The Premium Add-Ons Bundle will include two DLC expansions as they become available as well as the Welcome Pack, Car Pass, and VIP Membership. The Forza Horizon 5 Expansions Bundle on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One will also include the two DLC expansions that promise “a new location, vehicles, and gameplay.” More details are expected to be announced either today, June 9, at the Summer Games Fest show at 11 am PT or at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase at 8am PT on June 12.
In other news, Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 will arrive later this year, although Call of Duty: Warzone will continue in tandem. Elsewhere, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II pre-orders are available right now on Xbox, PS5, PS4, Battle.net, and Steam.
