Halo Infinite Season 2 Details Coming Soon, 343 Confirms

343 Industries creative director Joseph Staten has confirmed that the studio will reveal more details about Season 2 of Halo Infinite in the near future. Players know precious little about the second season of the first-person shooter game, titled Lone Wolves, with the developer releasing almost no information about what it will contain when it launches later this year.

When is the Halo Infinite Season 2 release date?

Speaking in an interview with the Washington Post, Staten along with a variety of other developers from the studio, explained the current state of Halo Infinite and what 343 is planning for the future. He later said that  “really soon, fans are going to be exposed to some of the cool stuff we have going on for Season 2” although he didn’t elaborate exactly when that would be.

The reason for this is that the content is constantly in flux and changes significantly before launching. Staten went further, adding that “it’s challenging to always be constantly open and transparent with fans because we don’t want to have to expose them to the uncertainty and churn that happens in any game development process.”

Despite the lack of solid information, the studio has previously teased that the new season will bring a variety of content to the free-to-play multiplayer portion of Halo Infinite. This will include everything from new maps and game modes to additional weapon skins and even some extra story-based content. 343 Has also previously revealed that it will be available on May 3, 2022.

Halo Infinite was initially meant to launch alongside the Xbox Series X but was delayed indefinitely following a controversial reveal. Fans complained about the seemingly poor visuals seen, prompting 343 and Microsoft to push back the launch so they could have more time to work on the game before it was released late last year.

In other news, fans have been requesting that Epic add a slap emote to the Will Smith character in Fortnite, and One Piece Odyssey has been announced and seemingly takes inspiration from the Dragon Quest series.
