Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold members have a new selection of games to try out for free as part of the Xbox Free Play Days. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, The Escapists 2, and Train Sim World 2 are all available to try in their entirety until the Xbox Free Play period ends at 11:59 PM PT on February 27.
What modes are available during the Free Play Days?
During the Free Play Days, all online and offline modes are available from the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, The Escapists 2, and Train Sim World 2 base games. However, no DLC add-ons will be included. This means players won’t be able to access the following content:
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Wrath of the Druids or The Siege of Paris
- The Escapists 2 – Wicked Ward, Big Top Breakout, Dungeons and Duct Tape, or The Glorious Regime
- Train Sim World 2 – Any of the 25 route expansions currently available from the Xbox Store
Any progress made during the weekend, including any achievement unlocks, will be transferred to the full version of the game whenever you decide to make a purchase. All three games are on sale throughout the Free Play period. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has two editions of the game on sale: both the standard and Deluxe editions are 60% off, the former now at $23.99 while the latter is now at $31.99. The Escapists standard edition is 75% off for just $4.99. Train Sim World 2 standard edition is supposed to be 60% off at $11.99 but the discount is not showing on the Xbox Store at the moment. The Rush Hour – London Commuter Route Add-On is also supposed to be discounted by 50% to $14.99 but that sale price doesn’t seem to be live either.
In other news, Elden Ring players are currently having fun with the in-game messaging service that’s allowing them to leave “fingers but hole” messages throughout the entire game. Elsewhere, Knockout City will be moving to a free-to-play model at the start of season 6.
