New World datamine reveals the entire map, including expansions

The New World datamined map that was leaked online reveals a play area more than twice the size of the currently available map, after the two were recently compared. The New World leaked map shows that the game’s world of Aeternum has a lot of potential expansions to come, and is actually clearly based on a map of Australia. Any New World DLC expansions look like they will take place in the north and west of the current map.

The full datamined map of New World’s Aeternum can be seen below and it clearly just how much of the map is yet to be filled in with expansions, as less than half of the full map is currently playable — if this leak is correct. The original leak was revealed earlier this year on Reddit by ExpsGaming, but now that New World has released user TheDireNinja overlaid the full currently playable map of Aeternum, and the results are quite startling. While any part of this datamined map could change, the current New World map fits perfectly on top of it — lending credence to the authenticity of the map.

According to user ZitherzPC, who apparently made the original datamined map, “Brimstone Sands” and “Queens Port” could be the next DLC expansion areas coming to New World — which are directly in the middle to the west of the current map. As for when any of these expansions, will drop, that’s entirely up to Amazon Game Studios.

New World has only just launched properly on PC and has been incredibly popular, so it’s not surprising it’s been hit with a number of problems. Here’s how to fix the “Steam Must Be Running” untrusted system file error, the “timed out while waiting for server to spawn the player” connection error, and the annoying compass not properly tracking any quest or resources bug.
